Spanish students or those from one of the countries with mutual health agreements with Spain may use the student medical insurance policy provided that the premium was paid at enrolment and they are under 28 years of age. Students should complete and hand in the application form, which is available at the students' area or at the school office. The following documents need to be handed in, depending on the necessary treatment:

• In the event of an accident at school, a sick note is needed, which can be obtained at the medical centre or hospital.

• For other medical services: a medical report provided by the doctor who carries out the operation or treatment. The hospital and date must be acknowledged.

• In the event of the death of a relative: death certificate and a document ascertaining the cause of death and date.

Consult other medical centres close to your home. You will required to pay for the service and the school policy will refund the money depending on medical fees.

Eventualities covered by the policy

Any accident in activities directly or indirectly related to studies, as well as illnesses, death of a relative and other eventualities, depending on one's economic situation and whether there are special circumstances.

Students on UAB Degrees

The school has a group policy for accidents to students on the Graduate Diploma in Hotel Management and the Official Diploma in Tourism. This covers all possible accidents during any academic activity. Students on overseas internships have a policy covering all travel.
