The University School of Tourism and Hotel Management
is organizing courses as part of the “Summmer at University” programme on the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona campus with the aim of disseminating new, specialized knowledge in different academic disciplines among the UAB community
This year, EUTDH, in conjunction with the l'Institut de Ciències de l'Educació (Institute of Educational Science), is organizing and imparting a twenty-hour course titled “The History of Wine: Gastronomic Culture and Analysis”
from July 6th to the 10th. It will be held at the EUTDH from 9:30 to 13:30 and the fees will 130 euros
.
This course combines both theory and practice and is aimed at participants with some knowledge in this field as well as those wishing to learn about wine culture and its evolution from its beginnings until the present day. The theoretical part will be about wine's features and its history, other drinks, gastronomy, food, and wine and food matching whereas the practical part will deal with wine smelling, tasting and visual inspection.
From July 13th to the 17th, EUTDH is also organising a course called “Cooking and health (Workshop/Lecture)”
. This twenty-hour course will be held from 15:30 to 19:30 at the EUTDH and will cost 150 euros
. The teaching staff are Mrs Isabel Puigdueta and Mr Marc Grañó.
