1st Round Academic Year 2012-2013

We are seeking innovative, creative and quality-driven lecturers who wish to work at one of the leading universities in the country and particularly in one of the most innovatory and unique tourism and hospitality schools in Spain: The University School of Tourism and Hotel Management of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (EUTDH-UAB).

In accordance with demand for the current undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the new qualifications we are designing, and demand for courses already on offer, we are seeking new independent and prestigious practitioners as well as academics who wish to collaborate with us as lecturers.

It is essential to have a high enough level of English to impart classes to native speakers, to be knowledgeable and experienced in tourism and hospitality management, to be an accomplished teacher, to be available and flexible, to be interactive, to believe in and be versed in group work, and be oriented towards applied research.

For next year we are particularly seeking lecturers for the following subjects:

• Accommodation (practice and management).
  Year: 2nd. Type of subject: Compulsory.
  Introduction to reception and housekeeping departments. Functions and responsabilities. Front and back office. Bookings and fees. Check-in. Check-out. Organization techniques of the housekeeping departament. Introduction to customer service.

• Management, sales and customer service.
  Year: 3rd. Type of subject: Compulsory.
  Introduction to knowledge about the sales department. Marketing applied to sales, commercial actions. Knowledge about hotel products. Segmentation techniques. Distribution techniques. Types of customers. Customer service techniques. Loyalty techniques.

• Catering subjects.
  Year: 3rd. Type of subject: Optional.
  The restaurant as a global product. Brand creation and management. Relationship between the concept and the best emplacement.
