The course is imparted by means of two methods:

Classroom-Based Session and Online Course .
Practical training and virtual campus are included in both.

A. Classroom-Based Sessions
With one classroom-based session weekly and different programmed activities, the course is followed up on the online campus with personalized tutorials.

Contact Time: Practical content is studied in depth in these lectures: communication techniques, group dynamics, tourist route design, practicum, first aid, etc. Students acquire practical knowledge of tourist guide skills. Printed material of the units studied in class is handed out therein, and the rest of the material is at students´disposal on the virtual campus.

This training is complemented by career guidance in which students receive advice throughout and after the training to guarantee occupational success.

Online Study through the UAB Campus. Monitoring of the first 15 course units, the latest 3 being face-to-face ones, is done through the on-line campus (follow-up programme specifically designed for this course).

The training programme of the UAB is the best warranty for education.

The virtual campus includes the theoretical content with practical activities related to the latter. On the on-line campus students have at their disposal a personalized follow-up, all course content , personal email address of the UAB to stay in touch with lecturers and classmates, self-assessment, forum, news, etc. The virtual campus works 24 hours a day, enabling participants to follow the course.

B. Online Course (UAB Programme)
Participants that cannot attend at least 50% of classes will be able to follow the course online .

Training is complemented by career guidance in which students receive advice during and on completion of the training to guarantee occupational success.

Online Study through the UAB Campus. The follow-up units are done through the online campus.

The training programme of the UAB is the best warranty for education.

The virtual follow-up programme includes the theoretical content with practical activities related to the latter. On the on-line campus students have at their disposal a personalized follow-up, all course content , personal email address of the UAB to stay in touch with lecturers and classmates, self-assessment, forum, news, etc. The virtual campus works 24 hours a day facilitating the follow-up of students.

Practical Training. Practical activities are included in each method: a city sightseeing bus tour , a city centre walking tour and a 4/5 day practical session turning a coach tour into a practical-training class , where students will be able to apply their knowledge gained from the course and experience unexpected setbacks in this kind of activities.

This last practical training is the final assessment so teachers are highly demanding and check that students have understood tour guides' duties and will be able to put them into practice.
This practical training is scheduled within the course, and no additional fees are payable . The tour will be on a half-board basis.
